Incubator & Technopole

CESAG’s Incubator & Technopole supports the emergence, development, and consolidation of innovative projects led by students, idea‑holders, young entrepreneurs, and researchers.
It provides a dedicated space for creativity, experimentation, and innovation, with the objective of transforming local initiatives into high‑impact solutions for Africa.

The activities of the Incubator & Technopole include:

support for business creation,

ideation and prototype development,

entrepreneurial coaching and mentoring,

access to a network of experts and partners,

innovation workshops, bootcamps, and hackathons,

experimentation laboratories and collaborative spaces,

support for project development and fundraising.

The program is coordinated by the Directorate of Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship (DRIE), led by Dr Alassane OUATTARA, with support from the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Department coordinated by Bara NDIAYE, as well as the Research, Innovation & Entrepreneurship Secretariat headed by Oumar Hamidou ONGOIBA.

They are responsible for:

structuring incubation programs,

selecting and supporting project leaders,

coordinating innovation workshops,

connecting projects with institutions and technical partners,

monitoring incubated startups and evaluating outcomes.

Scientific Publications

The DRIE works to promote the production and dissemination of CESAG’s scientific publications.

These publications include:

academic articles,

institutional studies and reports,

conference proceedings and papers,

research briefs,

books resulting from collaborative research projects.

The Director of the DRIE, Dr Alassane OUATTARA, coordinates these activities, with the support of the Research, Innovation & Entrepreneurship Secretariat led by Oumar Hamidou ONGOIBA.

They are responsible for:

monitoring scientific work,

academic validation,

coordinating peer‑review committees,

internal and external dissemination of research results.

Academic Chairs

CESAG’s Academic Chairs are centers of excellence established to deepen the study of major themes such as sustainable development, innovation, public management, and entrepreneurship.

They make it possible to:

strengthen applied research,

structure scientific production,

develop high‑impact projects,

disseminate results to African decision‑makers and organizations.

The DRIE leads the development and coordination of the academic chairs, in line with its mandate for research, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

Research Laboratories

The Research Laboratories are spaces for reflection, analysis, and knowledge production in service of Africa.

Placed under the responsibility of the DRIE, they bring together researchers around strategic themes related to organizational transformation, innovation, sustainable development, governance, and applied economics.

The DRIE oversees:

the coordination of research projects,

scientific facilitation and outreach,

the supervision of applied research initiatives,

studies commissioned by public and private partners.

The laboratories bring together faculty members, doctoral candidates, professionals, and institutions around priority issues facing the African continent.

Faculty

The Faculty attached to the DRIE brings together lecturer‑researchers and experts who contribute to scientific production, pedagogical innovation, and the supervision of research and entrepreneurship initiatives at CESAG.

These faculty members teach across academic programs, supervise research work, participate in scientific evaluations, and collaborate with institutional partners.

Elle also includes:

lecturer‑researchers associated with research projects,

experts in innovation and entrepreneurship,

academic supervisors involved in student research work and scientific publications.
