Its mission, vision, and values form the foundation that guides its strategic choices, directs its academic practices, and strengthens its role as a pan‑African institution of excellence.

Mission

CESAG’s mission is to strengthen human and organizational capacities in Africa through education, research, consultancy, and technical support, in order to promote regional integration and improve the performance of public and private organizations.

Vision

To be an internationally recognized reference institution, known for academic excellence, innovation, and the development of endogenous solutions capable of sustainably transforming African economies.

General presentation

The African Center for Higher Studies in Management (CESAG) is an international public institution established in 1978 by the West African Economic Community (CEAO) and, since 1994, placed under the supervision of the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO). Specializing in education, research, consultancy, and capacity building, CESAG trains managers, executives, and experts each year who are capable of supporting the economic and social transformation of the African continent.

With academic programs ranging from Bachelor’s degrees, Master’s programs, MBAs, executive education, to high‑impact projects, CESAG has established itself as a regional reference in management sciences. Its Strategic Plan 2025–2029 reinforces this ambition by prioritizing academic excellence, innovation, digital transformation, and African integration.

As a decision‑making body, the Board of Directors ensures transparency, accountability, and the alignment of CESAG with the community objectives set by UEMOA and the BCEAO. In particular, it oversees the approval of strategic plans, the validation of academic programs, resource management, and the institutional development of the Center.
