Cross‑Cutting Programs & Future Skills

CESAG’s Cross‑Cutting Programs & Future Skills constitute a strategic initiative led by the Directorate of Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship (DRIE). They aim to equip learners—students, professionals, and decision‑makers—with emerging skills that are essential to Africa’s economic, technological, and social transformation.

These programs integrate cross‑cutting themes aligned with the continent’s new challenges, including:

Artificial intelligence & digital transformation

Climate change & sustainability

Transformational leadership

Critical thinking & complex problem‑solving

Entrepreneurship & innovation

Governance, inclusion & ethics

Analytical skills and monitoring & evaluation

Cross‑cutting programs are offered in various formats: short certificate programs, intensive modules, innovation workshops, think tanks, conferences, and hybrid learning pathways. They are designed to complement CESAG’s academic programs and to strengthen employability in a rapidly evolving labor market.

They enable CESAG to train professionals capable of:

  • anticipating emerging trends,
  • developing home‑grown solutions,
  • acting sustainably within African organizations,
  • leading digital, environmental, and organizational transformation.
